Mahila Bal Yuva Kendra (MBYK), established in 1981, is a pioneering non-profit organization dedicated to rural development. It was established by committed individuals working in the field of social work and development. The organization was formally registered on 12th March 1987 under the societies registration act XXI of 1860 at Patna Bihar. Our multifaceted approach encompasses health, education, rural development, awareness building, training programs, agriculture development, entrepreneurship, and income generation initiatives.

About us

The organization came in to existence during the well -known student movement of Bihar in the year 1975. A group of youth activities met LOK NAYAK JAI PRAKASH NARAYAN a great social reformer at Bihta and got inspired to form a grass root organization to work for and with the needy people. Science its inception organization has adopted several activities in the field of development such as awareness building programmes training programme, health issues based programme, agriculture development entrepreneurship income generation programme etc.

At MBYK, we envision vibrant rural communities empowered with knowledge, health, and socio-economic opportunities. Through collaborative efforts and innovative approaches, we work towards improving access to healthcare, enhancing educational outcomes, fostering sustainable livelihoods, promoting awareness on social issues, empowering individuals through skill development, bolstering agricultural productivity, and creating entrepreneurship opportunities. With a steadfast commitment to holistic development and grassroots-level engagement, MBYK continues to drive positive change and uplift rural communities towards a brighter future.

Aims & Objectives

Aims of organization are to work for integrated rural development of rural poor, weaker and disadvantaged section of the society. Social action for development through empowering women and downtrodden people of the society. Main objectives are given below:
• To make the rural population aware about to health hazards and socioeconomic development and exploitation.
• To improve the health status of mother and child by creating self-sustainable health care services.
• To create the sustainable health care system.
• To initiate participatory action and reflection to improve general health status of community.
• To work for the development of women and children of rural masses through various welfare programme.
• To empower women and youth by their involvement in development action.
• To develop agriculture and allied action for improving economic status.
• To initiate income action for better literacy status.
• To initiate income generation programme for rural poor.
• To make the population aware about the conservation of environment and natural resources.
• To create a sustainable development model in the rural areas and bringing structural change in the society.

What we do

Infrastructure

CENTRAL OFFICE Organization has a central office having its own pukka building. All the activities such as planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation work are conducting by the central office. Other infrastructure is:
Land : 0.75 acre
Building : Office, well-furnished training center having 8 rooms in 3500 sq.ft.
Office Equipment’s : Chairs, Tables, Desk. Bench, Dari, Almirah, Cycle, Motorcycle, sewing machine, Audio- Visual Aids, Refrigerator, Gen. Set, Training materials.

Mr. Birendra Prasad Singh
Secretary , Mahila Bal Yuva Kendra has beed awared Block Level "Kisan Shree" Award for BIHAR Block under "Kisan Samman Yojana" on 15th of August 2007 by Dept of Agriculture Govt of Bihar.
